University Women's Professional Advancement (UWPA) and Women's Studies are sponsoring a refereed Poster Session on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 , in the J.W. Corker Lounge of the Student Center. The Poster Session is open to all men and women researchers on gender related topics and to all women researchers and women students on any research topic. Student-authored posters are particularly encouraged. Along with newly-developed posters, any recently-developed posters, even if used for other activities, will be accepted, provided that they address current issues.
Interested persons should contact UWPA regarding the event. Participants in the Poster Session will be selected on the basis of their letter of intent. Applications will be judged by a blind review committee on relevance, timeliness, quality of writing, methodology, findings, and suitability of poster format. Individuals are encouraged to propose more than one poster if they wish; however, only one poster per author will be selected for presentation.
Poster show walls are 3' (width) x 5' (height); other display space (e.g., tables or easels) may be available upon request. Presentation guidelines for posters will be sent upon request.
There is no registration fee or charge for presenting or for attendance at the session. The poster session will be held in conjunction with the "Celebrating Scholarship" event. Refreshments will be served.
