AWARD GUIDELINES
Please submit a proposal that describes research, scholarly and creative activity. This program is designed primarily to fund new applicants. Only one submission may be made by an individual and/or team.

| Individuals Eligible: | SIUC Women Assistant Professors |
| Amount of Award: | Up to $600 (all funds
must be expended by 6/1/08.)

| Examples of Costs Covered: |
Computer hardware or software, travel to acquire data, and other support (graduate assistant or student worker). Equipment will remain the property of SIUC on loan to the applicant. This competition is not designed to cover costs typically assumed by departments, such as postage and copying. |
| Evaluation Criteria: | Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated based on the following criteria: purpose/relevance of research, enhancement of professional development, need/justification, and completeness of proposal. |

Recipients will be required to briefly present their project, even as a work in progress, at the Celebrate Women event in Spring 2008.
